At La Primaria Elementary, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and safe environment where every student is encouraged to reach their highest potential—academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in setting high expectations and providing the support and care necessary for all students to succeed and thrive.

School Profile

La Primaria Elementary is a TK–3 school focused on laying a strong academic foundation to ensure all students are proficient readers and writers by the end of third grade. We believe that reading is a foundational skill necessary for success across all areas of learning, and we provide targeted, small group instruction to meet the individual needs of our students.

We have a strong focus on English Language Development (ELD) to ensure our English Learners receive targeted instruction that supports both language acquisition and access to academic content. Our dedicated staff uses assessment data to guide instruction and create personalized learning opportunities that support growth for all students.

We proudly partner with the University of California, Irvine (UCI) to enhance our math curriculum and provide professional development that supports rigorous and engaging instruction.

To support the whole child, we implement PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) to foster a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive school environment where students feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.

La Primaria is a vibrant school community where learning, character development, and family partnerships come together. I am proud to serve as principal and work alongside a dedicated staff committed to providing every student with a high-quality educational experience.
